In response to the exciting growth we are witnessing in the Healthcare Technology Sector in the Kingdom, Excel and HealthGena are co-hosting the 1st Saudi HealthTech Startup Competition on March 5th, 2023 in Riyadh.
We are targeting startups in the fields of healthtech, medtech, digital health, and other relevant fields. Only start-ups with less than 2 years of business operations will be considered.
1st round will take place online, where we will accept applications from Saudi HealthTech Startups through the registration form.
2nd round will host 20 startups, which will provide a 4-minute pitch followed by a 4-minute Q&A during a private session with the judging panel. This will take place during the 1st day of the conference, and the top 3 startups will be awarded with prizes during the 2nd day of the conference.

Dr. Meshari F. Alwashmi is an accomplished thought leader with demonstrated success across the digital health sector. He is a digital health epidemiologist who spent more than a decade introducing new technologies to traditional medical practice while bringing a heavy patient focus to his process. Meshari is a serial entrepreneur and an associate member at the University of Michigan. Meshari also works as a mentor and advisor for several digital health initiatives nationally and internationally.
Dr. Alwashmi is a member of several boards and councils, including Forbes Technology Council, Tech NL, Bounce Health Innovation, and the University of Toronto Centre for AI Research and Education in Medicine. He is a guest editor at the International Journal of Environmental Research and Public Health and has published and peer-reviewed articles in Nature, the journal of medical internet research, and Sage. Meshari participated as a guest speaker in several events and conferences to share his thoughts about digital health, including hacking health, MIT health hack, Harvard University, Weill Cornell Medicine University, Michigan University, and the Canadian Agency for Drugs and Technologies.
